The 2019 Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger share quite a few similarities with regards to their engineering and build. The two cars share resemblances with their muscular style but differ in other minor aspects.

Exterior
The most prominent difference between the two cars would be that the Dodge Challenger is a 2-door coupe whereas the Dodge Charger is a standard 4-door sedan. The Challenger has a long and wide rectangular-shaped hood paired with a low, even roof.

With much emphasis given to the form over function, a majority of the features in the Challenger is reflective of the original model. On the other hand, the Dodge Charger has a sleek and traditional sedan style body. The Charger also boasts comparatively better outward visibility.

Interior
The two cars have quite a few shared interior features with similarities in the dashboard, steering wheels, control layouts, and infotainment systems. The major distinguishing factor between the two cars would be the interior space structure. The Challenger has a narrower space structure with a maximum seating capacity of four people. The Charger, on the other hand, has a maximum seating capacity of five people.

Both cars have very similar engines, and this specification reflects in the performance as well. In the V6 model, the Charger and Challenger take 6.2 and 6.3 seconds respectively to reach 60 mph. In the 5.7 liters V8-powered engine, both cars take roughly 5.1 seconds to reach 60 mph. Alternatively, in the 6.4-liter V8-powered engine, the Challenger and Charger take 4.2 and 4.1 seconds respectively to reach 60 mph.

Technology
Both cars feature a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that utilizes Chrysler’s Uconnect software. An upgrade is available for both cars and features an 8.4-inch touchscreen, additional USB-port, built-in navigation, and a one-year satellite radio subscription.

Safety
Both the 2019 Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger feature rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and rear parking sensors. The Charger comes with additional features like automatic emergency braking and lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist. Both of these muscle cars share many similarities and are on the mark with regard to performance.
